Koltin Hevalow Rides Two Bulls During Event
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Outlaws hosted their lone homestand of the season this past weekend, finishing 1-2 at the T-Mobile Center with a win over in-state rival Missouri Thunder (14-18), while falling to the Carolina Cowboys (17-15) and Texas Rattlers (21-11).
Kansas City tallied five rides at home, earning two on Friday and Saturday respectively and one on Sunday.
Koltin Hevalow rode both bulls he faced on the weekend and sits eighth in the MVP Race with 1,441 points. Hevalow has ridden 17 bulls this season in 31 outs this season. The Smithville, Missouri native bested Fat Lip for 85 points on Friday and Catching Gears for 85.5 points on Sunday. He had two attempts on Saturday with both resulting in re-rides accepted and taken.

In the nightcap to close out the first night of Outlaw Days on Friday, big rides from Cooper Davis and Clay Guiton in the first and third frames allowed the Carolina Cowboys to edge the host Kansas City Outlaws, 175.75 – 173.50. The Outlaws’ rides from Koltin Hevalow 85 and Eric Henrique Domingos put Heitor Santos Ferreira in the opposition for a walk-off win. For seven seconds the Kansas City crowd as going berserk, but Ferriera was suddenly bucked off Live Bait at 7.09 seconds and the Outlaws fell by 2.25 points.
The Outlaws defeated their in-state rival Missouri Thunder 171.5-0 Saturday night during the second night of competition inside T-Mobile Center to earn their first win of the weekend and conclude the Show Me State Showdown series at 2-2 this season. Kansas City parlayed qualified rides from Pablo Soares (88.5) and Natanael Serra Aires (83) into the Outlaws’ 11th win of the year.
After winning on Saturday night, the hometown Kansas City Outlaws dropped a 175-85.5 decision to the No. 4 Texas Rattlers Sunday. Leadoff man Koltin Hevalow converted for the Outlaws, but Kansas City’s final four riders were unable to go the distance. MVP contender Brady Fielder (88) continued his standout campaign as the Rattlers’ opener teamed up with fellow Aussie Qynn Andersen (87) to deliver the win to Texas, now one of three teams at 21-11 heading into next weekend’s PBR Teams: Ridge Rider Days regular season finale in Glendale, Arizona.
