Kansas City Outlaws’ Heitor Santos Ferreira Pulls Off A Thrilling Walk-Off Ride to Top Oklahoma Wildcatters 171.75-88.75 Sunday, Closing Out Gambler Days
Heitor Santos Ferreira lifted the Kansas City Outlaws over the Oklahoma Wildcatters Sunday in walk-off fashion to close out Gambler Days in Austin for the squad. Ferreira rode Short Fire for 85 points to seal the dramatic win.
Kansas City concluded Gambler Days in Austin, Texas with a 1-2 record to sit at an even-keel 7-7 on the 2025 PBR Camping World Team Series Season. Prior to defeating the Wildcatters, the Outlaws fell to the Carolina Cowboys Friday and Arizona Ridge Riders Saturday.
Koltin Hevalow continues to lead the Outlaws in the 2025 MVP standings in seventh place with 760.5 points. All riders above him sit at least one full ride away from the leader, Clay Guiton with 934.75 points.
Kansas City was bested by a ride Friday night as the Carolina Cowboys (6-8) took a 163-88.25 win in the Austin event opener. Ferreira earned his first of two rides on the weekend against Peanut for 88.25 points for the Outlaws. The Cowboys earned an additional score as Carolina’s Clay Guiton had his ninth-consecutive ride for 76.5 points versus Coal Train.
The bulls showed up loud and proud Saturday night, bucking off each rider to climb aboard, leading to the fourth all-time 0-0 game in PBR Teams history when the Arizona Ridge Riders (10-4) and Kansas City Outlaws were blanked in Austin.
During Sunday, the Outlaws ended the Oklahoma Wildcatters’ (4-10) three-game win streak during Sunday’s opener courtesy of an electric walk-off win from Ferreira. Teaming up with Koltin Hevalow (86.75 points on Buck) after earning a quality 85 points for his fifth-frame conversion, the Brazilian secured Kansas City’s second win over its past seven games.
The Outlaws return a little closer to home this weekend at Thunder Days in Springfield, Missouri this weekend, August 29-30 at Great Southern Bank Arena including a rivalry game against the Missouri Thunder to close out Thunder Days on Aug. 31.
Outlaw Days presented by LP Solutions continues to edge closer with the new dates set to October 3-5.
