Following Clutch Win over Texas Rattlers, Kansas City Outlaws Round Out Stampede Days, Set Sights On Gambler Days in Austin
The Kansas City Outlaws went 1-2 over the weekend in Nashville, falling to 6-5 while remaining strong at fifth in the 2025 PBR Camping World Team Series Standings.
Kansas City rode three bulls on Saturday night to defeat the Texas Rattlers, sitting third in the standings at 7-4, by a score of 259.75-175. Friday’s loss was to Austin Gamblers and Sunday’s at the hands of the resurgent New York Mavericks.
Ahead of the Outlaws in the standings are the Arizona Ridge Riders (9-2), Gamblers (8-3), Rattlers (7-4), and Florida Freedom at 7-4.
The Kansas City Outlaws and Austin Gamblers started off Friday night with electric back-to-back rides for both squads as Koltin Hevalow and Heitor Santos Ferreira made the 8 for the Outlaws and Sage Steele Kimzey and Dener Barbosa kicked it off for the Gamblers. Kansas City led going into the final frame, but in the bottom of the fifth, Austin’s Dalton Kasel knocked down a thrilling 90-point ride atop Doze You Down for a 260.75-171.75 walk-off win. Kansas City fell to 5-4 as the Gamblers rose to 6-3.
The Outlaws bounced back Saturday, improving to 6-4, to pick up a clutch win over the (7-2) Texas Rattlers in in Game 2, 259.75-175, despite seeing the Australian ace Brady Fielder improve to a perfect 7-for-7 on the season courtesy of an 87.5-pointer on Cutting Edge Sugar Daddy. Dawson Branton went on to record an 87.5-point atop Cramer, but the Outlaws were up to the task. Knocking down a pair of re-rides, Koltin Hevalow (87 points atop Barbarosa) and Heitor Santos Ferreira (86 points aboard Lever Action) teamed up with Eric Henrique Domingos (86.75 points on Red Ant) to secure the win. Texas fell to 7-3.
For the second time on the weekend, on Sunday, the New York Mavericks, improving to 3-8, earned a narrow-upset win, this time over the Outlaws, falling to 6-5, 260.5-259.5, despite Kansas City scores from Sandro Batista on Project X (84.5 points), Heitor Santos Ferreira dancing with Magic Hunter (88.5 points) and Julio Cesar Marques paired with Bueno (86.5 points) Trailing the Outlaws in the bottom of the fifth, the Mavericks Marco Rizzo outlasted Hoobastank for 84.25 points for the walk-off victory, Rizzo’s first career walk-off ride.
